Working with our clients

We understand your dreams, designs and desires for your new home. Whether your new home dream is years in the planning or a change spurred by a job relocation, designing and building a home is a major undertaking. We're there to bring our clients' ideas and designs to life with an eye for detail and attention to style.

We're flexible

We take pride in being flexible. We work with you to design custom plans or work with your ideas, drawings or blueprints. Our clients typically play an integral role throughout the entire process. Some clients are more involved than others throughout the process. Either way, the choice is yours to make.

Step 1

Step 1: Real Estate

This initial phase involves securing or purchasing the land or lot for your custom home or building on your lot. Napier Signature Homes typically has a variety of lots for sale in some of the Richmond area's most prestigious communities. If you're interested, contact us for more information.

Step 2

Step 2: Financing

We can finance the construction of your new home or use a variety of options to suit your needs.

Step 3

Step 3: Site Work

We will work with you to develop the site to bring your custom home's dreams to life including:
  • Proper house location
  • Preservation of trees
  • Necessary grading
  • Soil testing

Step 4

Step 4: Foundation

We use the latest engineering and energy-efficiency techniques - including waterproofing, termite protection and conditioned crawl spaces - in the design and construction of your foundation.

Step 5

Step 5: Framing

We use the best materials available to ensure long-lasting quality including:
  • Floor systems
  • Floor decking
  • Wall systems
For windows and doors, our clients select from a wide variety of energy-efficient, low-maintenance products.

Step 6

Step 6: Rough-ins

We only offer the highest quality equipment for HVAC, plumbing and related fixtures and electrical. Napier Signature Homes is committed to energy efficiency. You choose what goes into your home ... not from a list of standard items. If you dream it, we can make it a reality.

Step 7

Step 7: Electronics

From wireless home networks to home automation systems, technology in homes is constantly changing. We stay ahead of these trends and partner with seasoned technicians to offer the latest in:

Our clients select from a variety of vendors and manufacturers from semi-custom to full custom. If you can dream it, you can have it. There is no set standard. Our clients select the "standard" for their own individual needs.

Step 13: Landscaping

From a one-of-a-kind terrace to custom outdoor kitchens and entertainment areas, we can make it happen for you. This final phase includes the construction or installation of:
