Rich Napier (Founder & President)

With his father starting Napier Realtors ERA® in 1958, Rich Napier has been involved in real estate nearly all of his life. It wasn't until 1974, however, after graduating from the University of Richmond this Richmond native became a licensed real estate agent.

In 1975, Rich graduated from the Realtor's Institute. A year later, he became a licensed real estate broker. In 1980, Rich received his certified residential specialist designation. He attended graduate school at Virginia Commonwealth University.

His eye for architectural style and design coupled with an ear for listening to clients' needs helped to fuel Rich's success in the family real estate business.

From 1983-89, Rich led Napier Realtors ERA's growth and expansion as its president, working closely with his father, Oscar, and brother, Jim. During his tenure as president of the real estate firm, Rich also served as president of the Richmond Association of Realtors in 1987.

In 1989, after graduating from the Builder's Institute a year earlier, Rich, with support from his father and brother, launched Napier Signature Homes. Rich is a member of the Home Builders Association of Richmond and served as its president in 2002.

This leadership role marked a first in the Richmond real estate history as Rich became the only individual to serve as president of both the Richmond Association of Realtors and the Home Builders Association of Richmond.

Today, Rich is both a leader and decision-maker in Virginia's growing residential construction market. In the fall of 2006, Rich became the president of the Home Builders Association of Virginia, which includes 5,400 members across the Commonwealth from 17 local associations.

Rich and his wife, Judy, live on a horse farm in Powhatan County in a Napier-built home, of course.

Nancy Davis (Office Manager)

Nancy Davis is the office manager at Napier Signature Homes and has more than 22 years of experience in the home building industry. Nancy works closely with Napier Signature Homes' handpicked subcontractors, suppliers and vendors to accurately price clients' new homes.

Nancy 's professional passion is being part of the team at Napier Signature Homes that works in partnership with clients building a dream home.

“I enjoy working one-on-one with our clients,” she said. “Each one is different and has different needs and desires for their unique home.” Nancy has worked at Napier Signature Homes since the early 1990s. Previously, she worked for another local home builder.

Over the past two decades, Nancy has seen custom homes change tremendously. “Builders used to offer just a handful of different options, like ceramic, hardwood and carpet, but nothing like we can offer today,” she said.

“The features and options in one of our custom home are limitless. For example, the technology in new homes with touch screen panels, integrated home networks and even climate-controlled wine cellars today is incredible.

“Today's luxury home really is where people go to relax, get away from everything and entertain friends and family,” she added. Nancy believes that the flexibility and attention to detail offered by Napier Signature Homes set it apart from others as a custom home niche builder.

“We work very closely with our homeowners to build exactly what they want,” she said. “We want them to be thrilled with what we create. We strive to make sure that their house is perfectly suited for their unique needs and it matches with their vision.

“Once Rich builds a home, he remains friends with our clients,” Nancy said. “We stay in touch with our clients long after the home is built and strive to make sure they're satisfied.”

Nancy and her husband, a retired firefighter in the City of Richmond, live in Powhatan. She's the proud mother of two grown sons and four grandchildren.
