RECEIVES FIVE LOCAL AWARDS

Napier Signature Homes Earns Top Gold Award
in Richmond Parade of Homes
POWHATAN, Va. – Monday, Oct. 9, 2006 – Napier
Signature Homes last week received five coveted awards from the Home Building
Association of Richmond for its work on the custom design and construction
of the 2006 Richmond Symphony Designer House.
As part of the association’s annual Parade of Homes, officials presented
Napier Signature Homes with the Gold award in the furnished model $1.9
million-plus category. In addition, the custom home builder also received
the following accolades:
• Best Curb Appeal
• Best Kitchen
• Best Bath
• The Sales & Marketing Council (SMC) Realtor Choice Award
The company received all five awards for its 7,600-square-foot French
Country custom home in Midlothian. It sits on the thirteenth hole of the
championship Independence golf course in the Founders Bridge community
off route 711 and minutes from Route 288.
House built as a fundraiser
Napier Signature Homes built the brick and stone home as a fundraiser
for the Richmond Symphony Orchestra League. The League is a non-profit
organization that supports, assists and furthers the growth and development
of the Richmond Symphony.
“The Symphony Designer House we built is the 12th Designer House
for the Symphony Orchestra League, but this special home marks the first
residential property built from the ground up exclusively for the non-profit’s
fundraising efforts,” said Rich Napier, president of Napier Signature
Homes.
“Building this unique home required enormous flexibility and a real
team effort between the craftsmen, designers and Orchestra League volunteers,”
he added. “Thus far, nearly 4,000 people have been able to tour
the furnished home, and we’re expecting several thousand more during
the upcoming Parade of Homes that runs weekends through Oct. 22. The awards
are validation for a job well done.”
Unique features and details
The four floors of the Designer House are brought to life by 16 renowned
interior designers and artistic painters – each with a different
decorating personality and style to blend with the house’s architectural
character.
The award-winning home is on the market for $1.95 million. It features:
• Five bedrooms, five-and-a-half baths, exercise room and office.
• An expansive front porch with antique heart pine posts and timbers
from an old Richmond-area warehouse. The ceiling of the porch is covered
with an antique tin ceiling.
